Let me put it this way: With the Tyrinolim, my magic is unrestrained. When I cast, I can store the spell inside of it and use it later, completed fully. And, if any other magic-users write their own magic incantations into the book, I can use it, but only once.
This is about as close to using non-destructive magic as I can get.
